There is NO HOPE
And I'll tell you why:
Wipeout, ABC's newest piece of crap, premiered to 9.8 million viewers on Tuesday making it the biggest summer premiere ever. Which goes to show that people will continue to watch the worst possible tv instead of simply turning it off and doing something else. This is only going to encourage networks to make copycat-shows of Wipeout and for ABC to maybe start airing it three nights a week. INSTEAD of creating quality television with quality shows that quality actors can work on. And I know it's summertime so tv land is fertile for crap tv but this is only going to encourage the networks to put more of this on in the fall. The work for actors is going to become less and less because viewers have seemingly no standards. And us going on strike soon is not going to help anything. Why would the producers care about a strike when they can slap together morons breaking their necks on giant balls and people will watch that? They're not losing money. Why should they care if actors won't work?
Someone renew my hope. Please.
